Success starts with connection, and Lori Driessnack has made it her mission to help CMU students feel seen, supported, and empowered.

“If we can give our students the right questions and the right connections, we’re setting them up for a lifetime of success—not just a four-year degree,” she says.

At the HUB in Grawn Hall, she’s creating a welcoming space where students can build confidence, grow professionally, and know they’re not in this alone.

“You never know what saying yes is going to do for your future self.” – Annie Adams ’16

When Annie graduated from CMU with a double major in finance and international business, she didn’t know exactly where her path would lead. But by saying yes to new opportunities and showing up—even when it was uncomfortable—she built a thriving career in real estate and mortgage lending.

We’re everywhere! Fire up, Chips!

When worlds collide! While the Central Michigan University - College of Business Administration students and faculty leaders participating in the CMU Faculty-Led United Kingdom: Intercultural Business Communication Abroad program were walking by the Tower Bridge in London last week, they noticed someone outside their group sporting a CMU sweatshirt. It turns out that CMU students Dominic and Kyle were making a stop in London on the way to their summer study abroad program in Florence, Italy! They were all able to catch up and chat about their upcoming study abroad experiences. What a cool coincidence! Thank you for sharing this story, !

Safe travels and good luck to all of our students starting their programs abroad this week! ✈️

“You don’t have to have it all figured out. You just have to walk through the door.”

Ryan Hampton didn’t plan to triple major. Or lead the Financial Planning Association. Or become a mentor to future planners. He just kept walking through open doors—and each one led to something bigger.

With majors in finance, accounting, and personal financial planning, Ryan just graduated from CMU with a full résumé and a job already lined up. His journey shows what’s possible when you bring energy, curiosity, and a willingness to say yes.
