The purpose of the Team Engineering Design Competition is to expose pre-college students to a hands-on, team oriented, collaborative activity that involves mathematics, physics, mechanical engineering, software engineering, computer engineering, electrical engineering, and industrial engineering. During the engineering design classes, pre-college student teams build a prototype model of an existin
g or potential technical innovation. Upon completion of the design project, teams will exhibit their designs at the explain how the four areas of engineering where used to complete their designs. Metro Warriors STEM Engineering and design team Cyberbots competed in NSBE’s Fall Regional competition and took home the first place trophy. MWSO is now traveling with not just one team but four teams to compete in the National Engineering and Design competition in Indianapolis Indiana at the 39th convention. MWSO has spoken to several local schools in the DMV area about starting a Robotics and Engineering. Programs have been started and ran successfully at Ludlow, National Christian Academy, Muary Elementary School. Two Students were chosen from Muary and Ludlow Elementary School in DCPS to represent the entire city with a visit to the White House. These students were selected from their STEM activities during a free afterschool program. Contact us for more information on how you can have your Robotics and Engineering proram.
