Weekly EOPS Email was just shared to your PCC Email Address. Please make sure to check out our information on personal counseling resources, virtual graduation for Class of 2020, and Spring 2020 Petition. Most importantly please read our message of solidarity:

We hope you and your family/friends are safe at this time. We are heartbroken and frustrated by the senseless murder of George Floyd while in police custody; in addition, to the deaths of Ahmaud Arbery and Breonna Taylor. EOPS/CARE/NextUp and Foster Youth Programs stands in solidarity with our African American/Black brothers and sisters. We condemn systemic and systematic racism that for too long has allowed these acts of violence to persist. Let us also acknowledge the increase in racist attacks against our Asian American brothers and sisters during the COVID-19 pandemic, and the continued separation of families within the Latino/a/x community by ICE. It was at a similar time over 50 years ago that EOPS was created as a direct result of the 1960’s civil rights movement. The work of EOPS/CARE/NextUp and Foster Youth Programs faculty, staff, and students is an integral part of the movement today to end racist ideologies and advance social justice and equity for all. Students you are truly “living the legacy” of our ancestors. We shall overcome this difficult time together. Rest in POWER George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor, and the countless others. We will continue to fight for justice!
