Our student SMPTE Chapter allows students to meet professionals from the entertainment industry. We encourage you to become a SMPTE Student Member, free for the first year. Membership gives you access to SMPTE's magazine and webcasts and allows you to attend local Hollywood meetings and conferences.

Our Story

The PCC Film, TV & Radio/Electronic Media Department’s SMPTE Chapter hosts a free guest speaker series that allows students to meet entertainment industry professionals and department alumni, providing valuable insight into various career options as well as networking opportunities. We encourage you to become SMPTE Student Members so you can take advantage of the monthly Hollywood Chapter meetings to hear their speakers and learn about technological advances in the entertainment industry, access webcasts, and attend conferences. The first year is free for students. PCC SMPTE meetings are open to all students: alternating Tuesdays or Thursdays, noon-12:55pm, usually in C117 (room subject to change so check announcements).
