Professor Tom Fung and Amy Kumpf recently returned from Seoul, South Korea, leading the latest Fox School of Business Global Immersion trip. Twenty-three students joined them, immersing themselves in the sights, sounds, and vibrant energy of Seoul.
The highlight? PseudoCon—a conference on AI, ML, and DS, hosted by PseudoLab, a nonprofit tech meetup dedicated to fostering open exchange in the AI ecosystem.
Recent graduate Rosie Byrne shared, “This journey gave me a deeper appreciation for the importance of a global perspective in business.”
Beyond the conference, the group explored key business hubs, gaining insights into South Korea’s corporate landscape. They visited:
- Incheon Global Campus
- Fulbright Korea
- Nara Space
- Global Green Growth Institute
- EY Korea
- SM Universe
A huge thank you to the professionals who coordinated these visits and served as guides!
Of course, no trip to Seoul would be complete without indulging in its incredible food scene—and the Fox group savored plenty of local dishes and delicacies. Immersing themselves in Seoul’s culture was a top priority, and judging by the photos, they succeeded.
The group also made time for iconic stops, including:
- Starfield Library
- Gangnam Style Sculpture
- Samsung Innovation Museum (SIM)
In a word? Unforgettable. As always, Fox is proud to provide these transformative experiences for our students. Thank you to everyone who made this trip possible!
