The Kinney Center for Autism Education and Support believes that children learn best when lessons feel less like work, and more like fun! 👏🎉 Recreational programs like Camp Kinney utilize movement, teambuilding and games to facilitate progress toward social skill goals.

What is Camp Kinney❓Camp Kinney provides an immersive and recreational based traditional summer camp experience specifically designed for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

Who are the counselors❓Each Camp Kinney participant receives a dynamic and supportive staff team. This includes a 1-to-1 direct care staff, known as our SCHOLARS (current SJU undergraduate students), as well as daily supervision by aspiring behavioral consultants through our Graduate Assistant team, which includes Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analysts (BCaBAs).

The SJU Theatre Company is the premier theatre producing organization at Saint Joseph's University! It has produced plays and musicals on campus for over 80 years, performed in Bluett Theatre, a 440-seat proscenium theatre on Hawk Hill. Here are 3 facts:

🎭 The theatre company is supported by the Department of Music, Theatre and Film which offers courses in performance (acting, directing, musical theatre), music and film. It is also supported by the Department of English, offering courses in dramaturgy, playwriting, and dramatic literature.

🎭 Productions are directed by faculty and often incorporate professional guest artists (musical directors, choreographers, designers, etc.) from both Philadelphia and New York City.

🎭 SJU Theatre Company offers the Frank Olley Memorial Scholarship for students who participate in two productions each academic year, as a performer, musician or crew member.

One of our programs, Summer Scholars, allows students to complete research projects over the summer months and then publish their findings. 🔬🧪🧑‍🔬🥼
