From Corban University President, Dr. John Mark Yeats: “The President’s Office would like to welcome Dr. Jake Rainwater to the Corban community as Chief of Staff and Assistant Professor of Theology. Dr. Rainwater will assist the President’s office with aiding the trustees, special projects, and communication. He’s a graduate from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (PhD and MDiv) and has worked in multiple roles in higher education administration and teaching over the last decade. Hey everybody! My name is Cylie Hartzell. I chose Corban because of the welcoming atmosphere I experience every time I visit and the opportunities I will receive to help set me up for my career. I’m also super excited to be playing volleyball at Corban with some amazing athletes and coaches. I plan to study Biomedical Sciences in the hopes of getting into vet school. I was raised in the small ranching community of Paulina, Oregon. I’ve lived on a cattle ranch my whole life, learning all I can about animals. In addition, Corban is the only university on the West Coast to offer a Loan Repayment Assistance Program to both incoming freshmen and transfer students, which ensures that students won’t be inhibited by the worry of student loan debt as they pursue their vocation to make a difference.
