On February 28th, 2024, a group of 32 senior students from Galileo High School embarked on a visit to Skyline College. During their time at the college, the students engaged in a hands-on Biotechnology lab session, where they learned the process of extracting DNA from various fruits. Additionally, they gained insights into the Biotechnology Manufacturing Technician Associate in Science degree offered at Skyline College.
Led by Skyline student ambassadors, the Galileo students were taken on a comprehensive campus tour. This tour included stops at the STEM Center, Fab Lab, and Microbiology labs, providing them with a glimpse into the diverse educational resources available at the college.
The tour concluded with a visit to the Farallon Room, where the students were captivated by the breathtaking ocean views on a clear, sunny day. Eager to capture the scenic beauty, they enthusiastically took photographs before concluding their visit to Skyline College.
