Innovate for Good Conference 2022
In an increasingly digital and global economy, our cities and organizations are at a unique inflection point, where the most pressing issue of our time is how we sustain our planet. As was seen during proceedings in Glasgow at COP 26, public and private entities need to urgently accelerate innovations in energy, cleantech, fintech, and technology in order to address climate change in a way that is both economically viable and socially just. How are businesses finding new ways to Innovate for Good in this reality? How are companies and governments partnering to innovate and deliver more sustainable solutions that balance human and environmental values? The Innovate for Good conference is an annual symposium that brings together founders, CEOs, investors, academics, and nonprofit and government leaders who are taking action to shape a more sustainable and just world. The conference is supported by the Harari Initiative which honors the work of former USF professor, Dr. Oren Harari by continuing his mission to bridge theory and practice in the fields of conscious leadership and social innovation. If you are driving, the parking garage is located at 121 Spear Street. Public transportation is encouraged.
Building Cross-Racial Solidarity in the San Francisco Bay Area and Beyond
The conference, hosted by China Business Studies Initiative (CBSI) and co-hosted by Department of Public and Nonprofit Administration at the University of San Francisco (USF), in partnership with the International Federation for Public History (IFPH), and the Center for Public History at Zhejiang University, brings together scholars, business executives, policymakers, and community partners in the Bay Area to engage in a meaningful dialogue over collective memory, public history and business ethics. It discusses the intersections between anti-Black and anti-Asian racism in a political climate where contested histories are reinterpreted, providing historical context for how both are in service to white supremacy and how understanding these shared roots can create a common cause for anti-racism work for social, racial, and spatial justice in communities and the corporate world in the US and globally.
