Congratulations to SF State graduate Nate Mercereau on his latest Grammy Award nomination! He’s nominated for Album of the Year for André 3000’s “New Blue Sun.”

When hip-hop legend and actor André “3000” Benjamin released an album by surprise last fall, he was not the only multi-hyphenate involved. San Francisco State University alumnus Nate Mercereau is a member of the nine-time Grammy winner’s ensemble on the album, “New Blue Sun,” and on tour.

Students and staff from the SFSU Veterans Services Center joined Veterans of Foreign Wars for a flag-raising ceremony at the front of campus, followed by tabling on the Quad. Ben Pattison, a U.S. Army veteran and SFSU Music student, performed the national anthem. They held their event before Veterans Day because the campus will be closed to commemorate the holiday. We appreciate all of our U.S. veteran Gators! Thank you for your service!
