That’s a wrap on the first quarter of the year! ELI students were hard at work last week taking final exams, and then celebrated the end of classes with graduations and field trips to Chinatown for dim sum and the Aquatic Cove park for a picnic and games.

Sunny day on the San Francisco Bay! Last week Level 5 rode the ferry to Sausalito, learned about the Bay Area watershed at the Bay Model (a hidden gem!), enjoyed the sparkly views, and even spotted some dolphins ☀️⛴🐬🌁

We were sad to say farewell to the Saitama Medical College students who have been at ELI for the past 2 weeks. We’ve loved getting to know you, and wish you all the best in your studies!!

ELI has loved having the Saitama Medical University students studying with us this week! 🇯🇵❤️ Levels 3 and 4 had a great time exploring history and arcade fun at Musée Mécanique 🕰️🎮 We’re looking forward to even more fun and learning in their next week here. Let’s make the most of it! ✨📚

ELI is back in session after winter vacation and we love hearing the laughter and learning in our classrooms again! Level 3 started the quarter with a visit to Chinatown and the Golden Gate Fortune Cookie Factory. We’re already planning many more opportunities for students to explore SF this quarter! 🌁

San Francisco’s mild climate makes it a perfect city for year-round exploration. ELI students have been out and about touring the city, visiting the Contemporary Jewish Museum, sampling local restaurants and playing basketball! ☀️🌁🏀

At ELI, learning happens inside and outside the classroom! This week level 5 took the ferry to the Rosie the Riveter museum in Richmond. We had a great time enjoying the sun and learning about Bay Area history during World War II — we finished the week with presentations about everything we learned!
