We are thrilled to announce that Topp Jirayut Srupsrisopa™, the founder and CEO of Bitkub Capital Group Holdings of Thailand, has been awarded an Honorary Doctorate in Entrepreneurship & Innovation.

“Topp” Jirayut Srupsrisopa is the 31-year-old founder and CEO of Bitkub Capital Group Holdings. The cryptocurrency company has become Thailand’s first fintech startup to notch up a valuation of more than US$1 billion and reach the ultimate “unicorn” status.

Before founding Bitkub, Mr Jirayut started a company in April 2014 called Coins.co.th, which became Thailand’s leading bitcoin wallet company and was later sold to Indonesian tech company Gojek.

Mr. Jirayut, a University of Oxford graduate with a master's degree in economics, has already achieved the rare distinction of leading the first fintech in Thailand to reach unicorn status.

His entrepreneurial spirit, innovative thinking, and commitment to excellence have been an inspiration to many, and we are delighted to recognize his contributions to the field of entrepreneurship and innovation.

Exciting news, everyone!

Our alumnus, DR. JAY-ARR C. TAYAO, was a panel speaker at EduTech Philippines, Manila, and we couldn't be more proud!

Dr. Jay, the Education Program Supervisor I, Schools Governance and Operations Division, DepEd-SDO Bulacan, shared the stage with Dr. Ferdinand Pitagan, ICTS Director IV, DepEd, Dr. Wilma C. Manio, Principal IV, Commonwealth Elementary School.

Dr. Jay-Arr Tayao has always been an exceptional student with a keen interest in educational technology. We're thrilled to see him continue to achieve great things and inspire others in the same field.

During the panel discussion, Dr. Jay shared his insights and experiences on implementing technology strategies as an enabler for better education delivery in his city, Bulacan public schools. His contributions to the conversation were invaluable to the audience, who were public and private education stakeholders. It was truly inspiring to see his passion and expertise in action.

It's always inspiring to see our alums making a difference in their fields; We're honored to have played a small part in their journey and excited to see what the future holds for them.

EduTech Philippines is a joint initiative with Google Philippines and the Department of Education of the Philippines. The convention was held at SMX Convention Center, Manila.

Kristian R. Ablan, Undersecretary, Department of Education of the Philippines, was the keynote speaker. Mr. Kristian also discussed with Bobby Khan, the Public Sector Head, of Google Cloud, Philippines, on "The Pursuit of Excellence: Mapping Out the Future of Philippine Education."

We have come a long way and the moment our students waited for came true today.

In the presence of His Excellency, the British Ambassador to Greece, the Greek Minister of Development & Investment and most importantly, loving parents and friends, our graduates received their awards.

It was not an awards ceremony alone but a gathering of loved ones to celebrate the educational achievement of the graduates.

Special thanks to everyone at IST College, including Colonel (INF) Dimitrios Pissanidis and MAKIS FITEOGLOU, for the support and assistance in making this happen.

We proudly announce our collaboration with the British University Vietnam to offer professional education and training at BUV Campus for CMU members in Southeast Asia and nearby regions.

Founded in 2009, British University Vietnam (BUV) is the first and only international university in Vietnam. BUV’s campus is located in the Ecopark township. It is recognized as one of Asia's best educational environments, currently hosting up to 2,000 students and a capacity of up to 7,000 students upon completion of all expansion phases.

Congratulations, Gabriel Magen, on your completion of the DBA course successfully at CMU.

Gabriel Magen received his doctoral degree in business administration with a concentration in industrial engineering management.

Gabriel Magen also holds an MSc in Industrial Engineering from the prestigious Ben-Gurion University of the Negev. Through his extensive professional and educational experience, Gabriel Magen has written three research papers on the related subject of expertise at Ben Gurion University and CMU.

This post is for public awareness concerning foreign degree equivalency and evaluation in the U.S. and Canada.

Before you bite into deceptive recruitment tactics by some institutions, claiming their foreign degree is equivalent to an accredited U.S. degree using "evaluation agency" mills, read below to learn more,

According to the US Department of State https://bit.ly/3atgNtK, you can request an evaluation from a member organization of one of the two national associations of credential evaluation services:

1. National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES)
2. Association of International Credentials Evaluators (AICE)

According to the Canadian government's official site https://lnkd.in/ecTPbuWh, these are the designated organizations for educational credential assessment:

1. Comparative Education Service – University of Toronto School of Continuing Studies
2. International Credential Assessment Service of Canada
3. World Education Services
4. International Qualifications Assessment Service (IQAS)
5. International Credential Evaluation Service – British Columbia Institute of Technology

Tips to avoid being scammed.

1. Ask the institution you intend to study which US university currently accepts credit transfer from their foreign degree.

2. If they produce an evaluation statement from an agency based in the U.S., ensure the agency is a member of one of the two national associations.

3. Consult with the US university to which you intend to transfer your credits if they accept the foreign degree. Most universities in the US publish a list of organizations they recommend for credential evaluation.

We hope this information will be useful for your decision-making. Do your research and ask as many questions as possible, and verify it with official sources to ensure your investment is fruitful for your future.
