We're getting a little excited over here. As many of you know, we will be moving our campus later this year a few miles up the road to Holcomb Bridge Road and Old Alabama Road in Roswell. While we've enjoyed the last ten years in Sandy Springs, the building owners are looking to repurpose our space and we had to move. We've officially begun the construction process at the new location and the superintendent has been updating us with demolition pictures. We hope you are as excited as we are.

Gwinnett College seeks a full-time (40 hours per week) Admissions Representative at it's campus in Sandy Springs.

You may ask yourself - "What is an Admissions Representative?" If you've been to a vocational/technical college or university of any kind, it was the "point" person responsible for helping you apply, provide information about the Campus/Program of Interest, set appointments with Financial Aid, and help you enroll into college. As an employee, it means you'll do these things, but most of the position involves calling potential applicants and helping them start the process! Again, it's a phones-based position. A phone call can help a person come visit the campus, enroll, then hopefully graduate and change his or her life!

Hours are Monday through Friday. Two days are from 9:00am-6:00pm, two days are from 11:00am-8:00pm, and Fridays are 8:00am-5:00pm.

Three years of prior sales experience is required.
Prior experience in Admissions in a post-secondary environment is preferred, though not required.
A Bachelors Degree (any subject) is preferred, though not required.

Gwinnett College - Sandy Springs is seeking an instructor's Teaching Assistant in Swedish and Deep Tissue massage. The position meets Tuesday nights from 5:30pm-10:30pm.

Teaching Assistants must have five (5) years of practical work experience as Massage Therapists. They must also have an active, unencumbered license in Georgia.

While we are hiring for a Teaching Assistant in Swedish/Deep Tissue, if applicant is interested in other part-time teaching positions within the campus, we can discuss those as well during the interview process.

Gwinnett College - Sandy Springs is seeking a massage therapist to join us as a clinic supervisor in our student massage clinic. All therapists must have at least five years of work experience as a massage therapist as well as have an active, unencumbered license from the state of Georgia.

Gwinnett College - Sandy Springs is currently seeking a part-time (two nights per week) instructor in our Medical Assisting diploma program. This will be an ongoing, part-time opportunity.

This position meets Tuesday and Thursday nights from 6:00pm-10:00pm. Classes are held on an ongoing basis. Instructors will be responsible for teaching the following courses;

Medical Lab Procedures
Phlebotomy
Diseases

Instructors must have at least five (5) years of work experience as a Medical Assistant or some related clinical position.

Students, Faculty, and Staff of the past and present -

Many of you may remember a prior graduate of ours, Darin "Dex" Poindexter. We are sorry to say that Dex passed away Monday, March 22, 2021.

For those that didn't know Dex, I'd like to take a minute to tell everyone my thoughts.

Dex was a huge fella - meaning he'd walk into a doorway and was roughly the size of the doorframe. He looked like he could have played as an NFL linebacker or defensive end at some point in his life. Of course, when you meet someone that size you can't help but ask what sport he played...and while he didn't play in the NFL (he did play sports overseas, if memory serves), he was obviously athletic. After you grasped his size, you saw a bright smile. He had a great one - one of those light-up-the-room kind. Then you get to know his personality and he was just an all-around good person. In speaking with instructors over the years, they all enjoyed having Dex as one of their students for these reasons as well as for the fact that he was a hard-worker too. Everyone always spoke highly of the man and praised his name whenever he came up in conversation. I'd almost guarantee that anyone who knew him is nodding along in agreement. He was a heckuva guy, and I can speak for my staff and faculty when I say the world just lost a good one.

Friends and loved ones of Dex - our hearts and prayers are with you.

Rest in peace and power, Dex.
