We are raising money to be able to ship the books to New Orleans, where African Library Project will then use the funds to ship the books over seas...

Hey everyone!

Thank you to those who came out to the first meeting! If you weren't able to make it, don't worry, you can read all about the latest events and news in the minutes. Remember, even if you can't make it to meetings, we would still love to have you come and serve or hang out with us during events (if you complete 5 service hours with us, you can get free ice cream, on Holly!). We have lots of great ideas and events coming your way this semester. Below are just a few things you can look forward to this spring. Hope to see you all again on Wednesday at 5 in the blue/grey room, and make sure to bring a friend! Hope you have a safe and warm weekend with lots of hot chocolate and mini-marshmallows!

The move out drive and the feminine hygiene drive were both extremely successful! Thank you to everyone that helped and everyone that donated! The feminine hygiene drive collected 984 items and the move out drive was able to donate a large amount of donations to four different organizations! Wish we could've taken more pictures to show our success, but we were so busy working! Have a great summer everyone and remember: service above self!

There is an Adopt-A-Highway cleanup event tomorrow! Meet at the Hoxton Financial Management building in Shepherstown at 8am to help. The effort only takes an hour or two of time and it creates a noticeable difference! See you there!

At Rotaract's meeting this afternoon (4-5 pm, Blue/Gray room), we are having our local shelter box representative give a presentation about shelter box! ANYONE is invited to come learn about shelter box, even if you're not interested in becoming a Rotaract member. Shelter Box is a charity that any club can be involved with and we want to get the word out about it around campus. So, please join us tonight if you're interested!

We had fun at the hot chocolate stand yesterday and raised $51 for Shelter Box! Another step towards our goal of $500.

Rotaract is hosting a hot chocolate fundraiser for our shelter box competition on Friday, January 30th! We need volunteers to help run the table for the following time slots: 10am-11am, 11am-12pm, 12pm-1pm, and 2pm-3pm.
