🕊️ Through reading, residency, prayer, and presence, Marie discovered the profound beauty of listening—with humility, with heart, and with God.
From her role as a wife, mother, and friend, to her vocation as a spiritual director, her time at DMU shaped not just what she does, but who she is.

“As Ignatius of Loyola says, ‘Speak little, listen much.’” 💬

🌅 “Have no anxiety at all…”
In the quiet moments, in the anxious ones, and in all the in-betweens—we are invited to bring everything to God in prayer.

Philippians 4:6–7 reminds us that when we approach the Lord with thanksgiving and trust, He responds with a peace that surpasses all understanding.

🕊️ May this truth bring comfort to your heart today.
You are never alone.

📖 "A true apostle is always first a disciple.""

Spiritual direction is more than personal growth—it’s a response to the Church’s evangelical mission. As we deepen our relationship with Christ, we are also sent out to walk with others in theirs.

At Divine Mercy University, we believe that spiritual direction plays a vital role in forming disciples who are ready to accompany, encourage, and evangelize.

Answering the Church’s call for Spiritual Directors

"As she has always done, today the Church continues to recommend the practice of spiritual direction not only to those who desire to follow the Lord closely but to every Christian who wishes to live responsibly his or her Baptism, that is, new life in Christ. Everyone, in fact, especially those who have heeded the divine call to follow Christ closely, needs to be accompanied personally by a guide reliable in doctrine and expert in the things of God, this guide can help people to watch out for facile forms of subjectivism, making available their own knowledge and experience lived in the following of Jesus."

Address of Pope Benedict XVI to the Pontifical Theological Faculty “Teresianum”, Rome, 19 May 2011

The Spiritual Direction Certificate (SDC) Program is designed to provide the knowledge, skills, and supervision for future spiritual directors. The Program seeks to respond to the ongoing need for the followers of Jesus Christ to assist one another on their path of becoming every day, more faithful disciples of the Lord.

The Spiritual Direction Certificate (SDC) Program is offered through Divine Mercy University (DMU) in collaboration with Regnum Christi. The Regnum Christi charism is imbued with a rich Christ-centered spirituality that seeks to meet individuals in their life situation and help them become missionary disciples, agents for the Christian transformation of society and culture. DMU has a proven method of developing onsite and online programs that are both academically rigorous and practical for working adults, deeply integrating the latest insights of the human sciences and the Catholic Christian view of the human person.
