Hello, I am Richera Brown, a senior student in the Psychology program at Lourdes University. I am doing a capstone research project for graduation requirements. The project is on Discriminatory Perceptions in the Workplace. Julie Hoffman attended Davis College (now University) in 2001 and worked as a preschool teacher while completing her degree in Business Management. After graduating, she worked for three years in an administrative and marketing role for a marketing and advertising firm, and then went on to become an Administrative Assistant for a wealth management advisor. In 2010, Julie decided to go back to school for Psychology, landing at Lourdes University due to its values and flexibility to take evening classes. While completing her degree, she worked as a weekend nanny and was also promoted to Director of Operations for the same wealth management advisor. Julie graduated in 2016 with her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and relocated in 2019 to Ann Arbor.

Desiring to return to her joy of working with children and utilize her Psychology degree, Julie found a position as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), having obtained her RBT license in 2020. She then relocated to Brighton, Michigan, using her administrative skills in a couple of different roles and, after a purposeful job search, became an Operations Coordinator for an Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) company. Julie loves children and has always had a passion for child development. She feels very blessed that God brought her into a role that combines that with her strong operational background. Julie also serves in the kids' ministry at her local church and is dedicated to serving her co-workers, clients and their families, and the community with the gifts and purpose that God has given her. Congratulations, Julie!
