April is both Child Abuse Awareness and Sexual Assault Awareness month. On Tuesday, April 11 from 6-8pm, the Child Abuse Task Force will be screening the movie "The Hunting Ground" at Kent Branch Toledo Public Library (3191 Collingwood
Boulevard). The goal of the Child Abuse Task Force is to promote a safe community where individuals are protected from child abuse
and sexual assault. The Hunting Ground (2015) is a film which follows r**e crimes on United States college campuses; these crimes are covered up to protect the offender, not the victim. The movie portrays the trials and tribulations victims and their families
have to go through to get justice. Bringing this awareness to the public is essential so that we know how to protect our youth and adults alike. Refreshments and childcare provided. Discussion and resources after the movie.
RSVP at 419.244.3053 ext. 302 or [email protected]. Walk-in guests welcome!
