Rangers Lead the Way! The Rocket Battalion would like to recognize UT alumn and Second Lieutenant Brandon Russel having graduated ranger school. Lieutenant Russel commissioned from the rocket Battalion in December of 2023. We look forward to seeing all that he will continue to accomplish.

Last weekend, the Rocket Battalion conducted a CFTX with our partner programs in the Bowling Green Falcons, and the Western Michigan Broncos.

The weekend consisted of an EST range, land navigation, STX lanes, and the hand gr***de assault course. We concluded the weekend by recognizing 3 of our cadets who received challenge coins from our Brigade Commander for their outstanding work and effort thus far.

Our rocket Battalion’s Troop L1 soared to new heights at NATCOM. Out of 20 Pershing Rifles programs they placed 3rd in unarmed platoon, 2nd in exhibition squad, and securing 3rd overall! Congratulations Troop L1 and thank you for representing your Rockets. Proud to be!

‘Tis the season of giving! Our MSIVs have been spreading holiday cheer by serving the community in meaningful ways. They spent time volunteering at Little Blessings Veteran and Community Outreach, helping on the farm and even enjoying some time with the animals!
Additionally, they organized a clothing drive for Family House Toledo, collecting over 15 full bags of winter clothing to support families in need throughout the Toledo area.

We’re so proud of their efforts to make a positive impact this holiday season! ❤️⛄️

What an unforgettable Homecoming! The Rocket Battalion was all in, proudly marching in the parade and fueling the excitement with a cookout ahead of the game. Our energy helped cheer on the Rockets to a thrilling victory against Miami OH!

Last weekend, the Rocket Battalion completed an impressive Fall FTX! Cadets had the chance to qualify with the M4, conduct day and night land navigation, and execute multiple STX lane missions. They all did an outstanding job, and we look forward to their progress in the Spring! Go Rockets!!

Over the summer, the Rocket Battalion bid farewell to LTC Kowalski as he transitions to his next duty station. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to LTC Kowalski for his tremendous contributions to our program! Rockets! Proud to Be!

Additionally, SFC Geary had the privilege of delivering a class to the UT Athletic Department personnel on the Army Leadership Requirements Model.

Join us for our annual 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb, where we come together to remember and pay tribute to those who lost their lives on that fateful day. Registration opens at 7:30 a.m. at the Glass Bowl.

Nothing like starting your morning with a nice swim! Our cadets took part in the Combat Water Survival Test. To pass, the cadets must complete a 15-meter swim, a 3-meter drop, and a gear ditch.

We hit the ground running our first week back! We conducted a DACFT (Diagnostic Army Combat Fitness Test) and held our first Leadership Lab of the semester! MSIs and MSIIs were provided instruction on IMTs, squad movement formations, and patrol base operations. MSIIIs were given a class on ASIP radio assembly and then were given time with the MSIVs to talk about CST.
