Marvin Library Learning Commons

The Dwight Marvin Library, the Learning Assistance Center (LAC), Computer Learning Center, the Writing and Research Center, The Troy Savings Bank Charitable Foundation Atrium, and Library Cafe make up the Marvin Library Learning Commons. In the Learning Commons students can find one-on-one help in math, writing, and research, and get access to thousands of digital and print resources. The Dwight Marvin Library opened for the first time to students on May 23, 1970. Named after the first chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Hudson Valley Technical Institute, now Hudson Valley Community College, Dwight Marvin Library has become an invaluable resource for students, faculty, and the community. In 2012 the library was renovated and became the foundation of the Marvin Library Learning Commons.
