Our Rutgers family has lost a guiding light. For 28 years, Lori Smith wasn’t just our Assistant Director of Student Involvement and Leadership—she was our trusted colleague, cherished friend, and the mentor who believed in students before they believed in themselves. Her wisdom, warmth, and unwavering support shaped countless student leaders and left an indelible mark on our hearts. Though we mourn her passing, Lori’s legacy of compassion and dedication lives on in every student she inspired. Rest in peace, dear friend—your impact will never be forgotten.
