The Lunar New Year lasts from Feb. 10 to 24, culminating in a lantern festival dedicated to paying tribute to deceased loved ones and repairing relationships.

Proud of our Rutgers University—New Brunswick students for serving today with New Brunswick City Government Department of Human and Community Service doing meal prep for distribution to local churches. Participants then engaged in a conversation about the meaning of MLK Day and how students could deepen their learning and connections with community agencies going forward. At the conclusion of the conversation, some of the students stayed to watch the movie Selma. This community service collaboration was made possible through the generous support of Engage NJ, Rutgers Student Affairs - New Brunswick, Rutgers University Student Centers and Activities, and Community Service at Rutgers.
