Catholic University's West Campus Solar Array
☀️ Powered ON! ☀️ Catholic University's West Campus Solar Array is the newest addition to our campus, providing power to our neighbors and contributing to D.C.'s goal of 100% renewable energy by 2032. It is the largest urban solar array in the country and is capable of reducing greenhouse gas emissions of over 1,500 cars.

Conway School of Nursing Timelapse
We are thrilled to announce the completion of The Conway School of Nursing and the Campus Gateway! Thank you, Clark Construction!
🔬 Within the walls of this project lies a marvel of modern nursing education technologies with simulation hospital rooms, virtual reality, and state-of-the-art lab spaces.
🪨These modern spaces are wrapped in an exterior of century-old stone, salvaged from the 1926 Church of the Transfiguration in Philadelphia, to match the aged facades of the neighboring buildings.
⛲ The new Campus Gateway provides a thoughtful new design for the point of convergence of the university’s several thoroughfares, featuring the new Trinity Fountain, realigned pathways, and intentional sightlines that bring alignment and connection to the central hub.
Furniture, fixtures, and equipment will continue to be moved-in this spring for nursing school faculty and staff to program and test this summer, and the school will be ready to welcome nursing students in Fall 2024.

“Lead with Light” is the result of a campus conversation about who we are and how others perceive us. The importance of leadership combined with the image of light brings to mind our commitment to our Catholic identity and excellence in all we do, whether it’s in the lab, in the classroom, in service to our community, or on the sporting field.

Jonathan Roumie ('The Chosen') is 2024's Commencement Speaker
We are thrilled to announce Jonathan Roumie as the Class of 2024's commencement speaker.
Jonathan, a professional actor and voice artist, is most widely known for his portrayal of Jesus in the television series 'The Chosen.' His work is a testament to how Catholics can use their God-given talents to deliver messages of hope, and to bring people closer to God.
We look forward to welcoming him to campus and listening to his words for our graduates on May 11. 🎓

Last Thursday, we gathered for the Patronal Feast of St. Thomas Aquinas, celebrating Mass and focusing on fellowship.
University President Peter Kilpatrick reflected on St. Thomas Aquinas’s words on friends helping each improve in life. “So call your friends today and this semester,” the president said.

Dia de los Muertos (All Souls Day) celebration
Yesterday The Center for Cultural Engagement had their annual Dia de los Muertos (All Souls Day) celebration with a beautiful ofrenda in St. Vincent's Chapel and a gathering at the Pryz.
Community members came together to share stories about loved ones, while enjoying delicious pan de muertos (bread of the dead), hot chocolate, and other traditional foods!
