Howard Alumni United Mecca Minded: The Capstone Group
Why do demand a commitment to shared governance structures by the next HU president? Remember when the HU administration refused (and still refuses) to forward web traffic for the faculty senate to its external website?

HU leadership refuses to forward web traffic for the faculty senate to its external website. From Dr. Wutoh
Dr. Wutoh: “Good afternoon. I would be happy to facilitate a process whereby the Faculty Senate can provide updated content (officers, minutes, etc.) to Communications for the site to be updated. Of course, it would be necessary for the Faculty Senate to provide this most current information, and content for communication to faculty. Additionally, I am concerned about the establishment of an external site (in replacement of the University Faculty Senate site),”
HU Faculty: “As I've mentioned to the administration before, the minutes, documents, and other major correspondence of the senate are on the new website - hufaculty.com . Also, the need for an external site is pretty clearly demonstrated on the old site, see attached. Neither Dr. Wright nor Dr. Broome have been chair for about two years. I'd be curious to find out if any of the schools you've listed have names and pictures of senate leadership that are two or more years out of date? In addition, the HU administration has made clear its willingness to act on its belief that academic freedom through electronic communications is a "privilege and not a right". It would make little sense for the HU faculty to invest time and effort to helping update an HU administration controlled site, only to have it unilaterally removed, altered, or not updated. “
