Minister Baerbock met with students to discuss a variety of issues facing the global community, in particular the war in Ukraine, climate change and social justice issues. President Ali discussed the distinguished Howard alumni from Guyana and the significant contributions they have made to their country. At we are passionate about sharing our students' stories to provide a firsthand look into what the ISEP student experience is like. Today we want to introduce you our amazing digital ambassador, Leyha, who is majoring in Public Relations at Howard.

Leyha spent a semester living in Accra while studying abroad in Ghana. We asked her to tell us more about her experience through ISEP:

“My study abroad experience was full of moments that showed me who I was. Interacting with locals, pushing my personal boundaries and learning about the history of West Africa gave me a perspective that I just wouldn’t have access to if I didn’t live there. Most importantly, I learned that we are all a lot more connected than we are different and I saw that when we put those differences aside, we can create bonds that last a lifetime.”

Check out Leyha's Instagram .vibe.enthusiast to learn more about her ISEP Study Abroad experience in Ghana.

We love that our Bison get to do big things! Shout out to our Bunche Brigade members who participated in the first Youth Outreach Day hosted by the US Department of State and Millennium Envoys.

Our students moderated panels, coordinated rooms and provided media coverage for the event while our Study Abroad Manager was a panelist. Experiences like these build confidence and provide access to connections and information many in our communities lack.
