Educational Leadership and Policy Studies researchers influence policy and push the educational equity needle forward. Dr. Sosanya Jones, an associate professor and program coordinator for the Higher Education Leadership and Policy Studies (HELPS) program, and Melody Andrews, a recent Ed.D. graduate of the Education Leadership and Policy Studies (ELPS) program co-authored a paper, Stranded Credits: A Matter of Equity, cited in new federal legislation that will expand the ban on institutions holding transcripts for fees.
