The AU Phonathon program contacts more than 12,000 alumni yearly to raise funds for critical areas at the university.

Alumni involvement is crucial to the success of American University. Through annual gifts, AU is able to provide additional student scholarships, fund various operational needs of the university, and support student-focused initiatives on campus. The AU Phonathon program employs AU students to solicit philanthropic support from alumni and parents of current students for all academic units across c

ampus. Our more than 40 student callers represent all schools and colleges and are actively involved in the AU community. In addition to soliciting philanthropic support, callers ask for updates to contact information, share exciting news and happenings on campus, and thank donors for their past support.
