Established in 1869, Weatherford College is the oldest continuing community college in the Southwest.

Our Story

Established in 1869, Weatherford College celebrates its sesquicentennial year in 2019. WC services the people of Parker, Palo Pinto, Hood, Wise and Jack counties with campuses in Weatherford, Granbury, Mineral Wells and Wise County. The student population is approximately 6,000 with about 1/3 of those enrolled in dual credit courses at their respective high school.
