InterFest Spring 2024! The International Student Union’s annual InterFest: International Food Festival is a festival where WSU students prepare and sell dishes from their native countries. This festival provides a platform for intercultural sharing where the WSU community and visitors can try out diverse cuisine and learn about the origins and cultural significance of a particular dish. It also serves as a fundraiser for international student associations, although small groups of students also participate to have as many diverse dishes as possible.

The Association of HINdu Students in America (AHINSA) successful organized two big events: Bollywood Night and Garba in fall 2023. We are now looking for additional members for our Executive Committee.
Please note that AHINSA is an organization to promote and celebrate Hindu religion and culture and educate the WSU community about Hindu cultural heritage. AHINSA is a separate organization from the Indian Student Association (ISU). You do not have to be either a student/staff from India or a Hindu person to join and be a member of the AHINSA executive committee.
Please consider joining the organization to help us organize bigger and better events.

The International Student Union is planning to hold a futsal (soccer) tournament for all student organizations, staff, and alumni to participate. This is a great opportunity for everyone around campus to experience a sport that is not facilitated in WSU and more popular for the international population around campus. Popularly known as soccer or football, futsal is a miniature version of the widely loved sport. It is known to be more fast-paced and engaging as there are fewer number of players each team. Be sure to share this news with everyone around campus!

We would love everyone to be part of our tournament and enjoy their time on the court with your team! Here are some requirements you must fulfil to be participate in the tournament:

1) Gather a team of at least 6 people.
2) Pay a team registration fee: $15 per team

Dr. Deema de Silva, known to many as Dr. Deema and former students as Dr. D, is credited with helping thousands of underdog students get their degrees. She was the longtime director of a WSU program that provides free tutoring and resources to students from low-income families, students with disabilities and potential first-generation college grads.
