Meet our Staff Writers!

Christine Kim is currently a freshman at the Emory College of Arts and Sciences. She is currently interested in majoring in Chemistry and taking the Pre-Med track. Her home is in Bergen County, New Jersey, but much prefers the Atlanta weather. As the daughter of a reverend, she grew up in the church and was predominantly involved in volunteer work as well as the praise team as a vocalist and pianist. On the Emory campus, she is the RHA Secretary in Woodruff Hall. She is also involved as an active member in her Family Group at Journey Church of Atlanta, which is also the church she attends while at Emory. She is also involved in several other medical clubs that mainly focus on outreach. Overall, she enjoys the challenge of being a part of In Via, not only lifting up believers through her writing, but also sharing truths to potentially steward others to Christ.

Introducing our fabulous editor-in-chief!

Annie Li is a junior at Emory studying History and Sociology. She is passionate about the role of religion in civic life, voting rights, storytelling, and the visual arts. Out of a desire to bring compassionate Christian perspectives to Emory, Annie founded In Via in the summer of 2020, alongside an incredible team. On campus, Annie is involved in the IDEAS Fellowship, Residence Life, Journey Church of Atlanta, and Asian Pacific Islander Desi American Activists (APIDAA). Annie loves to converse with people who think differently — she is eager to chat about art/design, theology, and the importance of the liberal arts, over an iced matcha latte.

Emory In Via is Emory’s first Christian thought journal! We are a part of the Augustine Collective, a larger network of college journals to engage campuses in important conversations around faith through publishing written pieces inspired by the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We are releasing our first publication shortly, and in order to celebrate, we will be introducing board members and writers over the next couple weeks! We are excited to share our journal with the Emory campus!
