🎉 Big Congratulations to Kamarea Jenkins! 🎓

We are thrilled to announce that Kamarea Jenkins has been selected as this year’s scholarship recipient, proudly awarded by the FAMU NAA of Marion County! 🐍📚

The scholarship award ceremony took place at the Village View Community Center in Summerfield, Florida — a meaningful space where our community celebrates excellence and invests in its future.

Kamarea’s dedication, hard work, and Panther-level persistence (with a touch of that Rattler pride) have truly paid off. 💪🏽🎓 We are confident she will continue to rise and make us all proud!

Thank you Marion County for showing up to our annual Marion County FAMU NAA Student Send- off and Membership Recruitment program.

We had over 50 in attendance and we had several current FAMU students to come back and speak to our scholarship recipients.

Today, we visited our Florida State Senators and House of Representatives for FAMU 🐍 Day at the Capitol. We met with many people to advocate for Marion County Students and Mother FAMU!

Thank you to every alumni member that traveled to Tallahassee to advocate for Marion County. Special thank you to our designated Rattler Scholars: Yasmin Newman, Tihara Reid, Naviah Santiago, Ry Price and Kasiyah Rogers(all School of Nursing Students) for joining the Marion Squad to tell the student aspect of our legislative budget requests. Job well done!
