Conference buses will be leaving from the bus parking lane in front of the Agia Napa church bus stop on the coastal road.
Departure time: 19.00 (1 bus) and 19.15 (2 buses)
Gala begins at 19.30, so please be prompt.
Νavigators will guide you to the buses; gathering point is the yard of the Green building.
The bus stop (https://goo.gl/maps/Qg37O) is a 5-minute walk from the Green building.
Return from St. Raphael resort
Six conference buses will be departing St. Raphael resort at 11.00 pm, 11.30 pm and 12.00 am (two buses at a time).

Goodmorning EARLI 2015 participants! We want to remind you that for the keynote speakers we have navigators to accompany you to the three keynotes. For Mitropoli and Rialto the meeting point is the green building yard and for Carob Mills the meeting point is in front of the Brown building on Themidos street. Navigation starts at 10.30 for both meeting points.

The “Lunch with the Professors” offers the opportunity to discuss with experts from your field of interest during an informal lunch. The event will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday, during lunchtime. Participation is on a first-come, first-served basis. The Doctoral Consortium Lunch is for Ph.D. candidates in the final stages of their studies and for recent Ph.D. graduates. We would like to remind you our enjoyable excursions and social activities. Whether you choose the Scuba Diving or any of the sightseeing choices, you will not be disappointed!
A scuba diving trip is being organized for the well-known shipwreck of Zenobia, at the cost of €20 Euros. Zenobia is being constantly voted as one of the top ten diving destinations in the world. Kolossi Castle is situated in the village of Kolossi, 11 kilometres west of Limassol. It was built in the 15th century on the ruins of a former fortress dated to the beginning of the 13th century. Some of these ruins can still be seen east of the present castle. It is one of the most important extant fortification works of the Frankish period . The castle is a worth visiting monument and is a 21 metres high square tower with three floors. The entrance fee is only €2,50 and is open seven days a week from 08:30 to 19:30. Unfortunately, the castle is non wheelchair accessible. Enjoy the video!

What’s the best way to relax after a long day during the EARLI 2015 conference in Limassol? A visit to our beautiful beaches!
A wonderful beach near the conference venue is “Akti Olympion”. This Blue Flag beach is accessible from the conference site on foot. Lifeguards are on duty with lifesaving equipment every day during the bathing season from 09:00 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Another amazing beach is the one at St. Raphael Resort’s bay. One of the largest Sandy Blue Flag beaches in Limassol, located next to a famous beach bar (Malindi), a marvelous restaurant (Sailor’s Rest) and a luxurious hotel (St. Raphael Resort).
Another picturesque destination for swimming is the Governor’s beach. The place is ideal for swimming and exploring, fishing, camping or spending a lovely day at one of the plenty restaurants. Only 15 minutes outside Limassol, Governor’s beach is the perfect excursion to freshen away from the city’s heat.
Another great beach is the one located on the southern point of the village Pissouri. This Blue Flag beach is noted for its fine golden sand, multicoloured small pebbles, moderate waves and crystal clear azure waters.
Kourion beach is located at Episkopi Bay. Visitors should not miss the chance to combine a relaxing day at the beach and a visit to Kourion archaeological site, noted particularly for its magnificent Greco - Roman Theatre.

The Akamas peninsula is an area of great natural beauty unaffected by development. Akamas is located in Paphos near Polis Chrysochous on the west coast of Cyprus and it is the last large unspoiled coastal area remaining in Cyprus and one of the very few important sea turtle nesting areas in the Mediterranean. Both the Loggerhead Turtle (Caretta-caretta) and the rarer Green Turtle (Chelonia mydas) nest there.

The Municipal Market is an area of 3000 m2 in a listed stone building in the centre of town. The market was originally constructed in 1917, at a period when Limassol was booming, and gradually expanded to its present form by 1947. A visitor can shop traditional Cypriot flavors among various shops there, or enjoy fresh fruits, meat, fish, nuts and sweets. The area around the Municipal Market has been restored and upgraded lately in a pedestrian square consisting of cafés and restaurants. The Municipal Market is within a walking distance from the conference venue!
