Heute ist Kinowetter!
Um 19:00 in den Breitenseer Lichtspielen zeigt Kurdwin Ayub, Absolventin der Angewandten in der Abteilung für Malerei und Animationsfilm, ihren Dokumentarfilm Paradies! Paradies!.
Auf den sehr persönlichen, äußerst pointierten und dichten Dokumentarfilm Paradies! Paradies! [78 min, AT 2016] folgt ein Publikumsgespräch mit der Filmemacherin.

Letzte Woche eröffnete Ayub übrigens mit SONNE, ihrem ersten abendfüllenden Spielfilm, die Diagonale. SONNE wurde auch auf der diesjährigen Berlinale mit dem Preis für das beste Erstlingswerk ausgezeichnet.

Paradies! Paradies! [78 min, AT 2016]
Ein tragikomischer Dokumentarfilm über Heimat und Familie und nicht zuletzt über das Filmemachen selbst.
Die junge Regisseurin begleitet ihren Vater Omar nach Erbil, Hauptstadt des kurdischen Autonomiegebietes im Nordirak,
unweit der IS-Front. Er möchte in seiner ehemaligen Heimat eine Immobile erwerben. Ayub filmt dieses fragile Unterfangen
als zuweilen ironische Zeugin mit präzisem Blick für Investitionslandschaften, sowie für Geschlechter- und Familienkonstellationen.
Die frisch gebackene Berlinale Preisträgerin stellt mit dieser pointierten One-Woman-Show ihr Talent für sichere Beobachtungsgabe
und ihr Gespür für skurrile Momente unter Beweis.

VIDEO JOB:

The video will be used for a presentation in the context of a dissertation at the Vienna University of Technology; the subject is a building model. The available budget is about EUR 750 plus EUR 250 as a bonus and additional expenses. The completion date for the recordings is 18.2.2022 at the latest; editing and post-production until the end of February 2022. Shooting location is Leobersdorf. The creating artist (script, direction, recording, editing) will be named and introduced in the dissertation and video. Simple standard equipment can be provided if necessary.
