📢 Get ready for an exciting showcase of science and innovation! At the 15th Research Symposium for CAPS in Australia, we proudly introduce our plenary speakers and panel discussion!

Professor Yun Liu: Professor Yun Liu is a materials chemist and leader of the Functional Materials Research Group at the ANU. She is globally recognized as a pioneer and leading authority in the field of crystal chemistry and defect chemistry of solid-state functional materials and their applications, in the field of electronic technology, energy and environment.

Prof. Xinghuo Yu: Prof. Xinghuo Yu is an Associate Deputy Vice-Chancellor and a Distinguished Professor at Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT University), Melbourne, Australia. He was the President of IEEE Industrial Electronics Society in 2018 and 2019.He received a number of awards and honours for his contributions, including the 2018 M A Sargent Medal from Engineers Australia, the 2018 Australasian AI Distinguished Research Contribution Award from Australian Computer Society, and the 2013 Dr.-Ing. Eugene Mittelmann Achievement Award from IEEE Industrial Electronics Society.

Associate Professor Andy Song:Andy Song is an Associate Professor in AI, the manager of the Centre of Industrial AI Research and Innovation. He specialises in solving complex industry problems such as task scheduling, computer vision, and market prediction. His industry collaboration spans across a wide range of sectors, including health, transportation, logistics, food and waste. He is the recipient of multiple awards and grants. He is the secretary of the National AI Committee of Australia, a knowledge partner of OECD, a taskforce member of B20 and the AI director of several companies.

Prof. Greg Li: With over two decades of extensive experience in macro healthcare and investment, Dr. Li has achieved remarkable success in facilitating cross-border investments and innovations between China, the United States, and Australia, particularly in orthopedics, sports medicine and rehabilitation, biotechnology, artificial intelligence, and new energy sectors.

Dr. Christina Siyu Tao: Christina is a Senior Lecturer in Law, where she also serves as the Course Chair of the Bachelor of Legal Services program. Her research expertise spans International Trade and Investment Law, with a focus on trade agreements and dispute resolution; Intellectual Property Law, emphasising trademark and AI innovation; and Commercial Law, particularly in cross-border transactions.

📢 Get ready for an exciting showcase of science and innovation! At the law, business, humanities and social sciences session of the 15th Research Symposium for CAPS in Australia, we proudly introduce our keynote speakers!

Jing Han (Western Sydney University): Professor Jing Han is a leading expert in translating culture and intercultural communication. She served as the Chief Subtitler and Head of the Subtitling Department at SBS TV Australia, where she subtitled over 300 Chinese films and more than 500 episodes of the Chinese reality show "If You Are The One".

Yongqiang Li (Liz Legal): Dr. Yongqiang Li is an international arbitrator, Australian lawyer, writer, researcher, and seasoned business leader. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb) in the UK, and a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Victoria and the High Court of Australia. He is also a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD).

Chunmei Pan (La Trobe University): Dr. Chunmei Pan is an Associate Lecturer at La Trobe University, with research interests spanning Chinese language, culture, translation, ethnology, and Chinese philosophy. She has a particular focus on Buddhism, Confucianism, and the Yijing (Book of Changes) and is committed to interdisciplinary research and cross-cultural understanding.

Xiufang (Leah) Li (RMIT University): Dr. Xiufang (Leah) Li is a Senior Lecturer at the School of Media and Communication at RMIT University. Her research focuses on public relations and digital communication, with key areas including AI ethics, health innovation, and digital inclusion.

Bei Cui (Monash University): Dr. Bei Cui's research covers sustainable investment, climate change, modern slavery, Chinese and international capital markets, superannuation funds, and market microstructure. She is recognized for producing high-impact research that bridges academia and industry practices.
