ANU's Hall for Non-Residential students Griffin Hall is the first Non-Residential Hall for students studying at ANU who do not live on campus.

It has been set up so that students living in Canberra and the surrounding region are able to interact with the campus lifestyle! Griffin Hall acknowledges that we meet, work, study and play on the traditional lands of the Ngunnawal and Ngambri people, and pay respect to Elders past, present and emerging. We extend a warm welcome to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students and value thei

r contribution to the Hall. There are two branches of the Griffin Hall leadership team: the pastoral care team of Non-Residential Mentors and Academic Mentors, lead by the Non-Residential Hall Coordinator, and the Griffin Hall Members' Association Committee, headed up by the 2026 President, Magnus Shaw.
