A big thank you to everyone who joined in last week's Pride Festival celebrations at the Hawthorn campus.

It was truly special to see staff and students come together to show their ongoing support for, and allyship with the LGBTQIA+ community.

Week 5 is here, and we've got some great events ahead!

👉 Join the Swinburne Minecraft Playerbase for their weekly discord server as they mine, craft, and build in the world! Each week has a different focus, including nether highways, social focuses, and the opening of the end.

👉 SwinSpring Festival is back to bring colour, flavour and fresh energy to the Hawthorn campus. Stop by before or after class, grab some free flowers, and enjoy delicious eats from our favourite food trucks.

👉 Join us on Wednesday to celebrate NAIDOC Week 2026. With NAIDOC celebrating its 50 year anniversary, we encourage students to join us at the ILC to celebrate indigenous culture, tradition, and storytelling.

👉 SKC, in collaboration with Team Swinburne, invites students to join them for an exciting Games and Social Night. This event is designed to bring students together in a fun, welcoming, and inclusive environment where they can connect with others, build friendships, and take a well-deserved break from their studies.

👉 Join the Swinburne Engineering Student Society (SESS) for the official launch of the SESS Hackathon. The night will introduce the hackathon challenge, give you the chance to meet other participants, form your team, and get ready for the main hackathon weekend.

Celebrating creativity, culture, and connection, ‘NAIDOC 2026’ is a community exhibition by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists from Swinburne University of Technology.

Presented annually in partnership with Moondani Toombadool Centre, this exhibition features works from the Swinburne 2026 NAIDOC Art Competition. During this competition, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists submit their artwork, with each piece being inspired by their personal reflections on the year’s NAIDOC theme: 50 Years of Deadly.

Join us on Wednesday, 2 September for this important event celebrating the history, cultures and achievements of First Peoples.
