D2MG stands for DANCE, DJ, MC and GRAFFITI - these are the elements of hip hop. Established in 2002 by a group of passionate UNSW student, our society has been keeping it real ever since. Our aim is to grow the campus scene and spread the awareness and love of hip hop, which would also hopefully impact the Sydney hip hop community as a whole. Hip hop is not just a genre of music or a label of danc

ing - it's a rich culture that dates way back and has so much to it than what's nowadays commercialised by media. We've been running workshops where professional teachers come to UNSW to teach for dance and DJ, and we've also done graffiti outings in conjunction with University of Sydney's SoulXPress. In 2012, D2MG also had BEATDOWN - a 2 v 2 All Styles dance battle that was attended by many. It was the largest university society dance battle of the year, and some of Sydney's best of best came down to battle it out. Hi everyone, I’m Matt and I’m your breaking instructor for the term. I’ve been dancing for 11 years and have continued to break over those years. Come to the breaking class and you can expect fun and exciting plus physically demanding techniques that I’ll go through but I’ll simplify it to a very beginner friendly degree. You’ll go through some history of breaking, some foundations of the 5 elements of breaking and learning how to be cool in general. So come and break with me.

VERY exciting news that we will be running a 🔥KRUMP SHORT COURSE 🔥 taught by none other than Shutdown !! The course is 4 weeks long and is suitable for beginners!! 😎
