Where are they now? ✨🎓
Jon, ICMS alumnus, graduated with a Bachelor of Business (Sports Management) after applying to ICMS through Early Entry. Today he works for the Sydney Swans as a Sales Manager.
Why ICMS? 📚
Jon always knew he was drawn to a career in sport, however sports science wasn’t for him and he was curious about what other opportunities there were within this industry. Discovering the Bachelor of Business (Sports Management) at ICMS provided Jon with a pathway that turned his passion for sport into a career full of opportunity.
Professional Placement 🏢
Jon completed his professional placement at a start-up energy drink company, working across marketing and social media. While his career took him in a different direction, the fast-paced start-up environment gave him valuable skills he’s carried with him ever since.
Favourite memories at ICMS 🫶
For Jon, it was all about the connections. He formed a close group of friends who have supported him throughout his career, proof that it really is about who you know. His lecturer, Conrad Comer, was another standout, with a teaching style and genuine connection to his students that made him a highlight of Jon’s time at ICMS.
Life after graduation ⏩
Following his graduation, Jon secured a sales role at a sports events company, selling travel packages to major events around the world, including the Australian Open, Wimbledon, the Hong Kong Sevens and the Singapore F1. Now thriving in the Business Development team at the Sydney Swans, Jon finds that no two days are the same. He works across the B2B networking program, corporate hospitality, sponsorship and consumer sales, meeting new people and connecting with brands across a wide range of industries.
