English Language Support The focus is on your English whether it be grammar input and use, or error correction. Tell us what you need and we can design classes to suit.

My partner, Dr Christine Schmidt, is an expert on longer academic writing at Masters and PHD level. I have over 30 years experience teaching English as a Second Language at Universities and private English colleges. I have an interest in grammar, and in particular, the English Tense System and its use. You will be able to develop your speaking skills through targeted fluency development and error

correction. We can help to develop strategies for you get your English to a higher level. In addition Dr Christine Schmidt, a post-doctoral researcher and published author, can assist you with academic assignments at post-graduate level and other advanced writing tasks. I have a masters in Applied Linguistics and a CELTR from Cambridge University. I have also been a IELTS examiner and have experience preparing students for the IELTS and Cambridge exams. Tell us your English language needs, and we will develop ways to meet them.

Phrasal verbs are confusing for people learning English.
‘Pick up’ has so many different meanings:
- pick up your clothes
- pick up someone from the airport
- pick up a few words in another language
- pick up a virus
- business is picking up
