Good afternoon
Just a quick update on our project.

Having recently sought professional advice on the design of our EcoVillage to ensure that it is socially affordable while remaining environmentally sustainable, a number of issues were identified that make the current design more expensive to complete than the project needs to be. Also, some technology we had put in place in the original design has now been found not to work as effectively as previously envisioned.

As a result we are currently redesigning a number a features, and the staging of work to be completed to reduce the costs of building, without sacrificing any of the sustainable features we had originally put in place. We are currently working with our architect, property valuer and Newcastle City Council to ensure that Newcastle Urban EcoVillage meets a landmark standard of sustainable design.
