Earth Building Solutions was established in 2012 by Peter Hickson to offer services related to Building, Training and Consultancy in Earth Building Technologies. Peter Hickson is a Professional Master Builder currently Licensed to conduct Building work in NSW, Australia. He has 31 years experience specialising in designing and constructing homes of raw unfired earth and promoting earth building th

rough training, education and practical example. He was a founding member of the Earth Building Association of Australia (EBAA), and has served on the EBAA committee for many years including two years as Vice President and three years as President. He believes homes built of earth have always been the closest in achieving sustainable building practice.

Wattle and Daub. On the 28th Feb another bunch of lovely people enjoyed a small taste of earth building, adding their energy and earth materials into a small building that will be the hub of a community garden in Milton, NSW. The participants learned skills, and gained knowledge and had fun being creative and constructive with others. They contributed to a positive outcome. Hopefully some will build themselves something simple like a chook house or a shed and some may decide to expand their knowledge, skills and confidence and build an earth home. I love sharing what I have been fortunate enough to learn.

Just completed our third earth building workshop in Milton . Great fun day lovely keen crew. Two panels of wattle and daub filled with cob. Two more panels to go then daub inside and out, earth render and top the earth floor. So plenty of opportunity to get involved. Next workshop 28th Feb. I’ll share a link to more workshops.
