A big thank you to all the Electricians that have supported our Queensland owned and operated business this year.

We really appreciate that you have chosen to study with Electro-Training and we hope to see you again in 2022. We have been working hard this year to develop our course material and trainer knowledge and are taking a longer break than normal over the Christmas holidays.

ELECTRICIANS - LEARN FROM THE EXPERTS - Solar install and design course in Townsville - 15-19 November 2021

Fully funded by Construction Skills Queensland (CSQ) for 4th year Electrical Apprentices or those within 12 months of completing their Trade Certificate. $845 for all other eligible Electricians.

Delivered by an Electrical Contractor with over 18 years industry experience. This course will not only give you the skills and knowledge to install and design solar it will give you insight into how the Queensland solar industry works.

CSQ Funding
Electro-Training has been awarded a Short Courses contract with Construction Skills Queensland for the seventh consecutive year.

This means we can continue to offer CSQ funding for our Solar, Battery and Electrical Contractor (QTP and QBP) courses. There has been changes in the evidence requirements that will make it even easier for Electricians to apply for the funding.

CSQ funding is capped and the funding period runs from 1 October to 30 September each year so make sure you don't miss out.

Learn to install battery storage the right way……and on existing grid-connected HOUSES not HORSES(or their relatives).

Solar accredited Electricians can complete our battery storage course for a CSQ subsidised course fee amount of $800 in Cairns.

Upon successful completion of the course participants will gain the following nationally recognised units of competency:

UEERE5001 - Design Battery Storage Systems for Grid Connected Photovoltaic Systems

********Split System Licencing requirements*********

One of the most regular questions we receive from Electrician's is in regards to licencing for split system installation.

Electricians in Queensland must hold a Restricted Gas Handling licence (RSS03) to decommission and install a single head split system air conditioners up to 18Kw. If the value of the work is over $3,300 then then the business must also hold a QBCC contractor licence.
