The Certificate Giving Ceremony of the Field-Research Based Academic Programme 2025 —
“Theatre in Education (TiE): A Hands-On Training in Theory, Practice, and Production” — was held with dignity and enthusiasm.
M.A. students of the Department of Dramatics, University of Chittagong received their certificates after completing three days of intensive field-based training.

Paratheatrical Workshop: Encounters, Diversity, and Dialogue

Are you interested in creative expression, intercultural dialogue, and authentic human connection?

Join an innovative paratheatre workshop that brings together students from diverse backgrounds-Muslim, Hindu, Christian, tribal, indigenous, and ethnic minorities to explore meaningful encounters through embodied artistic practices.

What is Paratheatre?
An inclusive, participatory approach (coined by Polish theatre director Jerzy Grotowski) to creative expression that uses physical and emotional engagement to build bridges between people of different cultures, traditions, and identities.

What You'll Experience:

Paratheatre Workshops (Nov 18-24)
• 6 interactive sessions exploring movement, expression, and songs derived from various cultural traditions
• Forest setting experiences on campus
• Food sharing and community building

Creative Development (Nov 25-Dec 9)
• Collaborative rehearsals for embodied performance
• Full-day outdoor "Encountering Nature" sessions

Public Performances (Dec 10-11)
• Collaborative rehearsals for embodied performance
• Full-day outdoor "Encountering Nature" sessions
We welcome ALL students aged 18-35 from any background or discipline

Requirements:
• Current University of Chittagong student
• Available November 18 December 11, 2025
• Openness to creative expression and diverse perspectives
• Genuine interest in intercultural understanding
No previous theatre experience required,

Why Join?
• Build meaningful connections across diverse communities
• Develop creative expression and communication skills
• Gain unique performance experience
• Contribute to important diversity and inclusion research
• Challenge yourself in a supportive environment
