The Department of Law, BAIUST, is pleased to announce the praiseworthy performance of Team BAIUST (Team Code 2510), comprising Md. Rayhan Hasan (Researcher) [4-II], Islamul Haque Zisan (Mooter) [4-II], and Arif Billah Md Shahed Anwar (Mooter) [3-II] at the National Moot Court Competition 2025, organized by Map of Justice and hosted by the University of Asia Pacific (UAP). The team was coached by 𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐝𝐚𝐛 𝐁𝐢𝐧 𝐀𝐬𝐡𝐫𝐚𝐟, Lecturer, Department of Law, and guided by 𝐃𝐫. 𝐌𝐝. 𝐍𝐚𝐲𝐞𝐦 𝐀𝐥𝐢𝐦𝐮𝐥 𝐇𝐲𝐝𝐞𝐫, Head of the Department of Law, BAIUST.
This prestigious event brought together 26 teams from around 20 public and private universities across Bangladesh, showcasing the nation’s brightest young legal minds.
Amidst intense rounds of argument and advocacy, Team BAIUST qualified for the 𝐐𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐅𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐬, ultimately finishing 5th overall in the competition.
The team also achieved an impressive 6th position in the Written Submission category, a testament to their research, reasoning, and teamwork.
The Department of Law extends its sincere congratulations to the team for attaining such noteworthy distinctions and for upholding the academic reputation of BAIUST. Their performance demonstrates the analytical depth, professionalism, and advocacy competence that the Department strives to cultivate among its students. We commend the team’s dedication and scholarly effort and look forward to witnessing their continued contributions to the field of legal education and competitive mooting. The Department of Law, BAIUST proudly welcomes a panel of 12 distinguished adjudicators for the BAIUST Regional Moot Court Competition 2025 — a remarkable gathering of the region’s finest mooters, coaches, and legal academics.

These accomplished individuals have represented Bangladesh in renowned international moot court competitions, earning national recognition for their exceptional performance, research, and memorial drafting. Many among them have coached university teams that achieved excellence on both national and international stages.

As educators, mentors, and researchers, they have contributed immensely to the growth of mooting culture—organizing multiple competitions, leading legal awareness initiatives, and nurturing the next generation of advocates with passion and precision. Their journeys reflect years of dedication, training, and contribution to the advancement of legal education and advocacy skills.

For the first time outside Dhaka, such an extraordinary mooting event brings together 36 participants and over 200 observers from across the region. Guided by this esteemed panel, competitors will be tested on their knowledge, advocacy, and courtroom skills in an environment enriched by true mooting excellence.

Department of Law, BAIUST is delighted to announce that A. S. M. Sayem Ali Pathan, Advocate, Supreme Court of Bangladesh and Managing Partner, Pathan & Associates, will be serving as an Adjudicator in the Final Round of the BAIUST Regional Moot Court Competition 2025! ⚖️✨

Mr. Pathan is a highly esteemed legal professional, widely recognized for his outstanding contributions to legal research, advocacy, and academia.

M.S.S. in Industrial Relations and Labour Studies – University of Dhaka
