In Bangladesh, the GCE AS and A-level are offered by Cambridge International Education (CIE) and Pearson Edexcel after completion of IGCSE (CIE or Pearson Edexcel) or Cambridge O-Level and is conducted by the British Council. GCE Advanced Level qualifications are offered by some of the private, public and international schools as an alternative to HSC (Higher Secondary School Certificate) offered by the Government Board of Education.

It has become a popular choice among students but due to financial implications, its reach is limited to the middle and upper classes in major cities such as Dhaka and Chittagong.

An Iftar Mahfil and Dua were conducted on 05 March 2025 at Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology's M. H. Khan Auditorium, attended by approximately 600 individuals, including university staff, teachers and 30 orphan students from Hazrat Belal (R.A.) Tahfizul Quran Madrasah.

Key figures present included AUST board of trust chairman and president of Dhaka Ahsania Mission Golam Rahman, AUST vice chancellor Md. Ashraful Haque and various deans and officials of the university.
