We are delighted to celebrate the achievement of our proud alumnus, Mr. Kazi Faiyaz Ahmed, from the Department of Information & Communication Engineering, Daffodil International University.

He has joined the New York Police Department (NYPD) as a Traffic Enforcement Officer. This historic milestone is a matter of pride and inspiration for the entire ICE Club family, reminding us of the global impact our graduates continue to make.

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Mr. Ahmed and wish him continued success in his career journey ahead.

Daffodil International University-এর Information & Communication Engineering Department-এর অধীনস্থ Information & Communication Engineering Club (ICEC) গভীর শ্রদ্ধার সাথে স্মরণ করছে ২১শে ফেব্রুয়ারি (৮ই ফাল্গুন) – আন্তর্জাতিক মাতৃভাষা দিবস।

১৯৫২ সালের ভাষা আন্দোলনের শহীদরা মাতৃভাষার অধিকার প্রতিষ্ঠার জন্য জীবন উৎসর্গ করেছিলেন। তাদের আত্মত্যাগ আমাদের চিরকালীন গর্ব এবং অনুপ্রেরণা।

আসুন আমরা ভাষা শহীদদের আত্মার মাগফিরাতের জন্য দোয়া করি এবং তাদের ত্যাগকে সম্মান জানাই। মাতৃভাষার মর্যাদা রক্ষায় নিজেদের দায়িত্ব পালন করি।

✨ মাতৃভাষা শুধু যোগাযোগের মাধ্যম নয়, এটি আমাদের সংস্কৃতি, পরিচয় ও বিশ্বাসের প্রতীক।

The Department of Information & Communication Engineering, Daffodil International University, successfully organized an academic seminar titled:
“Cross-Domain Learning for 3D Object Classification”

🎙️ The session was conducted by Dr. A.A.M. Muzahid, Lecturer at the School of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Shanghai University of Engineering Science, China. His expertise in AI, Deep Learning, Computer Vision, and 3D Object Recognition enriched the seminar with valuable insights.

📌 Key Discussion Highlights:
- Generative AI vs. Recognition AI: how AI is evolving from recognition to creation.
- Explainable AI (XAI): addressing the Black Box Problem and building trust through transparency.
- Accuracy, Bias & Responsibility: challenges of training data, fairness, and accountability.

প্রিয় শিক্ষার্থী ও অ্যালামনাইবৃন্দ,
আপনারা সবাই অবগত আছেন আমরা Daffodil International University, বিগত বছরগুলোতে গবেষণামূলক কাজের মাধ্যমে বিশ্ব দরবারে সম্মানজনক স্থান অর্জন করেছি। আমরা সবাই দোয়া করি আমাদের এই অর্জন অক্ষুণ্ণ থাকুক। আমরা বিগত ৩ বছরে বিভিন্ন Journal এবং Conference এ ১০০০ থেকে ১২০০ এর বেশী গবেষণামূলক কাজ প্রকাশ করতে সক্ষম হয়েছি। এই অর্জন ও সাফল্য সব সম্ভব হয়েছে আপনাদের এবং শিক্ষকদের সমন্বয়কৃত উদ্দ্যোগে। আমাদের সর্বোপরি এই সমন্বয়কৃত উদ্দ্যোগ বৃদ্ধি করতে হবে এবং নিজ বিভাগের গবেষণামূলক কার্যক্রম বৃদ্ধি করতে হবে তথা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়কে গবেষণামূলক কাজ উপহার দিতে হবে। এটা আমাদের একটা সুবর্ণ সুযোগ যার মাধ্যমে বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের জন্য আমরা কাজ করার সুযোগ পাবো।

বর্তমানে বিভাগে অধ্যয়নরত শিক্ষার্থী, যারা বিভিন্ন ক্ষেত্রে চমকপ্রদ গবেষণা করছে যা আগামী ১/২ বছরে অসামান্য গবেষণামূলক কাজ হিসাবে স্বীকৃতি পাবে বলে আশা করা যাচ্ছে সেই কাজে আপনিও অংশীদার হতে পারবেন, আপনার মূল্যবান Idea Sharing এবং Resource Sharing এর মাধ্যমে। আপনারা জেনে অত্যন্ত আনন্দিত হবেন এই যে, আপনাদের গবেষণামূলক কাজগুলোকে স্বীকৃতি প্রদানের লক্ষ্যে Daffodil International University এর Research Division অনেক উদ্দ্যোগ গ্রহণ করেছে যা সত্যিই চমকপ্রদ, লাভজনক এবং আকর্ষণীয়।

আপনারা যারা দেশে বা বিদেশে অবস্থান করছেন, বিভিন্ন প্রতিষ্ঠানে চাকরীরত অবস্থায় আছেন, এবং বিভিন্ন নামকরা শিক্ষাপ্রতিষ্ঠানে অধ্যয়নরত অথবা শিক্ষকতা করছেন সবার জন্যই DIU নিয়ে এলো অত্যন্ত আকর্ষণীয় লাভজনক উদ্দ্যোগ যার ধারাবাহিকতায় আপনিও আপনার গবেষণা কাজটিতে নিজ বিভাগের Affiliation ব্যবহারের মাধ্যমে নিজে উপকৃত হতে পারেন এবং সেই সাথে আপনার গবেষণা কাজটি বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়কে নিয়ে যাবে অনন্য অর্জনে যা দিয়ে বিশ্ব দরবারে আমাদের বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় সবার শীর্ষে পৌঁছাবে।

আপনি আপনার গবেষণামূলক কাজে নিজ বিভাগের Affiliation, উচ্চ মানের Quartile বিশিষ্ট Journal এ প্রকাশনা যার Citescore হবে সর্বজন স্বীকৃত, এবং নিজের অবস্থান First Author, Corresponding Author অথবা Co-Author হিসেবে গবেষণামূলক সম্মানি গ্রহণ করতে ও অর্জন করতে পারবেন। নিচে কতিপয় ভাগসমূহ বিস্তারিত প্রদান করা হলো। বিগত July 2025 থেকে December 2025 পর্যন্ত যদি কেউ উক্ত বর্নিত বিষয়সম্বলিত প্রকাশনা করেন তাহলে বিভাগে জানানোর জন্য [email protected] এই সংশ্লিষ্ট ইমেইলে অনুরোধ করছি।

আপনাদের সদয়, গঠনমূলক ও বিনীত সাড়া আশা করছি। আপনাদের অগ্রগামীতা Information and Communication Engineering বিভাগকে তথা Daffodil International University কে সম্মুখে দুর্নিবার গতিতে সাফল্যের দিকে অগ্রসর করবে।

📢 Update on ICE Club Election 2026

Information and Communication Engineering Club (ICEC) Election Commission has decided to extend the nomination deadline to encourage a more competitive election and ensure greater candidate engagement. This decision aims to provide interested members with additional time to prepare their nominations and actively participate in the leadership process of the club.

📌 Revised Important Dates:
• Last date for submission of nomination: 25 January 2026
• Announcement of nominated candidates: 27 January 2026
• Election date: To be announced soon

All eligible members are strongly encouraged to step forward, share their vision, and contribute to shaping the future of the ICE Club. Let us work together to make this election more vibrant, transparent, and participatory.
