A study tour organized today by the Department of Aquaculture, Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University, Dhaka with level 2, semester - II students as part of their Practical course Fish Feed Technology and Management (AQUA 252).

Students learn the operational procedures of feed industries, current trends, future directions, hand on experience and hence boost their understanding on how feed industries are working.

Artemia, the microscopic marvels are peacefully swimming in our lab! 🐣🌊

Today at the AQUA lab, Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University, our freshly hatched Artemia (brine shrimp) have come to life in thousands, swimming gracefully in the calm waters of their new world.

These tiny creatures play a crucial role in aquaculture as a highly nutritious live feed for fish and shrimp larvae. It’s incredible to see them move so energetically after hatching, each one no bigger than a speck of dust, yet full of life and purpose. Their rhythmic, peaceful swimming reminds us how even the smallest forms of life can carry immense ecological importance.

This successful hatching is part of our ongoing Coastal Aquaculture and Mariculture lab class where our third year students are working on. Congratulations to the third year students.
