Being conscious of the enormous challenge to securing a fair share for Bangladesh in the global market as well as to address issues of trade and investment promotion, and to meet the growing demand for research and capacity building needs of the business community, specially small, medium and large Enterprises, Daffodil International University initiated ECI in 2004 and now all process are under progress for the of University Grants Commission. In 2005 International Trade Center, ITC took initiative to work in Bangladesh with various chambers and for that ECI is recommandate in ITC by ITC. To supports the business sectors of developing and transition economies helping them to realize their trade potential by sharpening their ability to compete in the international market place, the initiative of formation Enterprise Competitiveness Institute, ECI is one the pioneer private initiated movement in our country.

International Seminar on “Sustainable SME Development and Creating New Entrepreneurs in Bangladesh” held at Daffodil International University on 28th April, 2014.

Mr. Md. Sabur Khan, Chairman, Enterprise Competitiveness Institute (ECI) of Daffodil International University & E2K - Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry ( DCCI) graced the occasion as the chief guest while Prof. Dr. M. Lutfar Rahman, Vice Chancellor, Daffodil International University was present as the special guest. Mr. Michael Sippitt, Chairman, Commonwealth Environmental Investment Platform (CEIP), UK was present in the seminar as the keynote speaker. Mr. Shankar Rele, CEO, Ice Start UP, India, Mr. Sukamal Sinha Choudhury, SME Faculty Consultant, BIBM & Bangladesh Bank delivered their speech as the guest of honor in the seminar.

To develop entrepreneurial skill and to build the entrepreneurial capacity of students of Daffodil International University, Daffodil Group has organized International Seminar on “Sustainable SME Development and Creating New Entrepreneurs in Bangladesh” today on April 29, 2014 at DIU Auditorium. Enterprise Competitiveness Institute of Daffodil International University, Bangladesh, the Commonwealth Environmental Investment Platform (the CEIP), UK and Ice Start Up Pvt. Ltd.
