We are proud to share a remarkable achievement of the students of the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE), Presidency University.
Students from the EEE Department participated in the 8th Bangladesh National Round World Invention Competition and Exhibition 2026, held at Northern University Bangladesh. Competing in the University Level Robotics and IoT Project Display Segment among more than 20 teams, one of the teams achieved the Bronze Prize (3rd Place), bringing pride and recognition to Presidency University.
The winning team members are:
Tarek Islam
Md Sabbir Hosan
Humayra Islam Shammi
Md Manik Pramanik
Their project, RX II (Rescue Robo), is a rescue robot designed to detect fire and smoke while clearing obstacles using a drill system and robotic arm. The robot can also be remotely operated from a safe distance of up to 50 meters using an HD camera, making it highly useful for rescue and emergency response operations.
This achievement is the result of the students’ hard work, dedication, creativity, and determination. Behind this success were countless hours of learning, designing, testing, troubleshooting, and teamwork. Their accomplishment clearly reflects the passion and capability of our students when they are willing to challenge themselves beyond the classroom.
We are also proud to mention that two teams from the EEE Department participated in this prestigious competition, showcasing the growing culture of innovation, robotics, and practical engineering at Presidency University.
The Department of EEE and Presidency University are truly proud to have such hardworking and talented students representing the university on a national platform. We hope the respected Head of the Department of EEE and the Robotics Club Moderator will continue to guide and inspire these students toward many more successes in the future.
Presidency University remains committed to supporting such hardworking students by building a strong academic curriculum
