We are delighted to welcome Zahin Ikbal Zeal as a Lecturer in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) at Presidency University.

Mr. Zeal, a BUET graduate with an outstanding CGPA, brings a vibrant passion for teaching and research. His achievements include Dean’s List Awards, University Merit Scholarship and leadership in VLSITHON Team with NSL.

We are excited to have him on board and look forward to his contributions to teaching and nurturing future engineers at Presidency University.

The Department of English, Presidency University, is pleased to announce an upcoming seminar to be conducted by Associate Professor Md. Habibullah on Thursday, 13 August 2025.

Md. Habibullah will present his own research paper titled “Feministic Islamophobia: Representation of Muslim Women in V.S. Naipaul’s Travelogues and Daniel Pipes’ History”. The paper explores how feminism, when co-opted to stereotype Islam as inherently patriarchal, may contribute to Islamophobia—an idea examined through Naipaul’s Among the Believers and Beyond Belief, alongside Daniel Pipes’ In the Path of God.

About the Speaker:
Md. Habibullah, Associate Professor in the Department of English, earned his MPhil from Bangladesh University of Professionals in 2022 and is currently pursuing his PhD at the University of Dhaka. He has published extensively in Scopus-indexed journals such as Asiatic, Journal of Muslim Minority Affairs, Victoriographies, and CLCWeb: Comparative Literature and Culture. He also serves as an editorial board member of the Islamic Foundation Journal and as a reviewer for Cogent Arts & Humanities (Routledge).
