Our Professor Bulbul Siddiqi attended the Development Studies Association conference at University College Dublin, which concluded recently. It was an eye-opening experience that brought renewed academic focus and fresh global perspectives on development issues. We are excited to welcome him back home to NSU and look forward to the valuable insights he will share with our Anthropology community!

‘বেল্ট এন্ড রোড ইনিশিয়েটিভ’ (বিআরই) চীনের এমন একটি উদ্যোগ যা চীনকে সমগ্র বিশ্বের সাথে যুক্ত রাখছে। চীনের জন্যে এটি অত্যন্ত গুরুত্বপূর্ণ যোগাযোগ ব্যবস্থা।

এই উদ্যোগ মূলত চীনের প্রাচীন যোগাযোগ ব্যবস্থারই একটি আধুনিক ও বিস্তৃত রূপ। বর্তমান বিশ্বে তা শুধু যোগাযোগ ব্যবস্থাই নয়, বরং বিশ্বপরিমণ্ডলে তাঁদের একটি স্বকীয় প্রকল্প হয়ে উঠেছে যার মাধ্যমে চীন মূলত তার মিত্র দেশগুলোর সাথে নিবিড় যোগাযোগ স্থাপন করছে।

চীনের দূতাবাসের আমন্ত্রণে ১৩ সদস্যের এক তরুণ দল নিয়ে আমাদের অ্যানথ্রোপলজি বিভাগের অধ্যাপক Bulbul Siddiqi ঘুরে এলেন বেইজিং ও তিয়ানজিন। এই শিক্ষা ও সাংস্কৃতিক বিনিময় সফরে তারা দেখেছেন:
