BUBT Achieves 5th Position in Bangladesh in UI GreenMetric World University Rankings

Bangladesh University of Business and Technology (BUBT) has achieved a significant milestone by securing 5th position in Bangladesh in the UI GreenMetric World University Rankings on Sustainability & Environment 2026.

In this year’s assessment, BUBT has been ranked 424th in Asia and 713th in the world, recognising its ongoing efforts towards sustainability, environmental responsibility, and the development of a sustainable campus.

The UI GreenMetric World University Rankings assess universities based on their commitment and performance in creating environmentally responsible and sustainable campuses. The ranking provides a platform for universities worldwide to share their efforts and strengthen their commitment to sustainability.

This year, UI GreenMetric has introduced the theme “Advancing Sustainable Campuses through Governance, Digitalization, and Integrated Performance.” The theme highlights the importance of effective governance, digital transformation, and integrated approaches in advancing sustainability across university campuses. It also encourages greater participation from universities worldwide and promotes a collective commitment to building sustainable campuses for the future.

BUBT’s recognition in the 2026 ranking reflects the university’s continued commitment to sustainability and its efforts to contribute to a greener and more responsible future. This achievement also represents the collective efforts of the university administration, faculty members, students, officers, staff, and the entire BUBT community.

Congratulations to the entire BUBT community on this remarkable achievement!
